2025 Reflection:
NYC Mid-Autumn Festival

Saturday, October 4, 2025 12pm-4am
Hana House in Downtown Brooklyn, NY

With a $20K goal for our 4th festival, Powered By Moonlite fundraised again for Meals For Unity, a NYC nonprofit organization whose mission is to uplift those in need through community and food, and our festival performers. With these funds raised, Meals for Unity delivered over 500 meals to local asian seniors.

What attendees were able to enjoy:

  • Experienced live performances from local talent: From puppetry to music that spans across many genres— indie rock, international funk/soul/disco, LoFi, hip hop, indie soul pop, electronic dance music, late night rave

  • Participated in live workshops: Painted on plexi glass, tried their hands at Chinese yo-yos, learned an Indian fusion dance, took a martial arts class

  • Shopped at local retail vendors: Browsed a variety of pop-up artisans—home goods, clothing, packaged foods, beauty, jewelry, zines, art, etc.

  • Ate well: Savory meals from handpulled Chinese noodles to Vietnamese-American cuisine to Thai street food; got snacky with Indian desserts, curry popcorn and tin cookies, mooncakes, and more!

  • Got pampered: Got tatted by Yant Studio, nails done by Airi Yamada, yassified with face gems & face painting by Pam's Universe, and fresh haircut by Jive

  • Won at the Game Room: Played Asian-inspired carnival games to win prizes

  • Played Mahjong: Tables were run by Green Tile Social Club

  • Cultural immersion: Custom art installations from local artists to celebrate the event (take photos with them!)
